Please join Fontana Mayor Acquanetta Warren for a virtual briefing on new research showing how mayors can help people protect themselves from COVID-19.
On the Zoom will be Robert Sallis, MD, of Kaiser Permanente, lead researcher on the new study; Mayor Warren; Norman, OK Mayor Breea Clark; and West Chicago, IL Mayor Ruben Pineda.
Dr. Sallis will brief mayors on the study findings that physically inactive people have more than double the risk of being hospitalized or dying from COVID-19. Mayors Warren, Clark, and Pineda will share how they are helping people in their communities be more physically active to protect themselves from COVID-19, plus stroke, cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.
