MWTM Fall Newsletter – November 10, 2023 – Podcast Highlight

Posted on 11.10.23

This Fall Challenge marks the 9th year of Move with the Mayor® ! As you know, programming and policy are both important aspects for a city’s success. The Roadmaps create opportunities for case studies, including the one featuring West Sacramento, CA! Listen to the Move with the Mayor ® podcast that features elements from the West Sacramento case study, where Mayor Martha Guerrero highlights many ways her city works to achieve health equity throughout all of the programs her city offers, and how she intends on furthering the growth of physical activity opportunities for residents of all demographics.

I learned a lot about what we’re doing as a city that is building upon what Move with the Mayor®’s planning and vision, and seeing how we can expand on that, and seeing what we can do. I just want to be able to say, ‘get involved,’ as early as you can, making sure that you take a look at all of the details, including the questionnaire (Roadmap) that asks what you’ve accomplished in your city, and seeing what you can do as a city on a regular basis... I really felt that it’s incredibly comprehensive in so many ways to improve the work life balance of individuals. In a healthy and productive way. – Mayor Guerrero on the Roadmap.
