The National Forum for Heart Disease & Stroke Prevention submitted formal comments to the Partnership for Quality Measurement’s Pre-Rulemaking Measure Review Clinician Committee in support of a proposed quality measure on Low-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (LDL-C) monitoring and management for patients with Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease (ASCVD). This measure is an important step toward strengthening secondary prevention, improving consistency in care, and reducing preventable heart attacks and strokes.
